Communities in general, regardless which, plays an important role in providing structure and enables individuals to come together. In rural areas, communities are the most practical way to nurture or provide to some extend mental health support. These facets can have a large positive impact on young minds as the community by itself holds a positive, healthy, safe and supportive space to guide them.
The Gawai festival open house served as an important platform for the Eve Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre to strengthen its bond with the community. By inviting a diverse group of people to share in this cultural celebration, the Centre underscored its commitment to promoting social cohesion and mutual respect for all in the facility and its team. The event is a testament to the Centre’s dedication to creating an inclusive environment where every individual, regardless of their background, feels valued and connected.
“We are glad that we as friends, family, colleagues, and mental health practitioners from Eve Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre came together to be a part of this amazing event,” she added.
